The Old Apple Loft is a two storey annex converted from its orignal use as an old cider house. It is attached to a former Geogian farmhouse which in its history has also served as a Pottery, tea Rooms, Shop and Post Office to the village. It can sleep up to 7 people, plus a childs bed or cot can be accommodated in the second bedroom if required.The accommodation sits in the centre of the village adjacent to the old village cross, and is within 20 metres of the village shop, church and local Westbury Inn which serves foodWestbury-sub-Mendip is situated at the foot of the Mendip Hills, and is sandwiched between Cheddar Gorge and the City of Wells. Both are only 3 miles away. The Mendip area is steeped in history and legend associated with Roman and Iron Age remains, the ruins of medieval castles and Glastonbury Abbey - the cradle of Christianity in England and the legendary land of King Arthur - and the majestic Wells Cathedral, the crowing glory of England's smallest city.
