It is at the heart of many excellent and picturesque walking locations. Wasdale Head, Ennerdale and smaller walks suitable for children are plentiful in nearby in Loweswater and nearby towns. Cockermouth is 5 miles away and Keswick 15 miles away. The coast, 15 miles away, is easily accessible along a picturesque route.There are map books and local attractions information.
