2 South View is in Burtersett, a picturesque, quiet village in the beautiful countryside of Upper Wensleydale, 1 and a half miles from Hawes. Burtersett is on a hillside beneath the summit of Yorburgh and the north and of Wether Fell. It is an ideal location for walking, moutain biking, activity holiday as many walks and rides can be undertaken direct from the cottage. Daily and weekly fishing tickets are available from local shops for fishing in the River Ure and in Semerwater - both are less than 2 miles away. The area is ideal for those who just wish to relax in idyllic scenery.Less than 2 miles away is Hawes, a small market town, which has pubs, restaurants, shops, banks and an excellent fish and chip shop. A cattle market and a general market are held on Tuesdays each week and there are many visitor attractions such as the Upper Wensleydale Museum and the National Park Information Centre.
